The owners of Nigeria are the ones participating in the on-going #Endbadgovernance protests across the five geo-political zones in Nigeria.
They are the ones who have ruled the country for many years from 1970 till date, and are now in power and smarting up to rule Nigeria again after the tenure of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This is why Yoruba people of the South West and Hausa/Fulani of the North abhorred the rotation for the Presidency of Nigeria, the conspiracy to exclude the Igbo in political power permanently.
They are the owners of Nigeria because of the part of the country they come from, and have headed the Military as Commander- in -Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria for several years.
The Igbo are not allowed to head the office of Chief of Army Staff;
Chief of Defense Staff;
Chief of Naval Staff;
National Security Adviser,
Minister for Defense,
İnspector General of Police,
Chief of Air Staff
Others included;
Director -General, SSS,
Comptroller -General,Customs,
Comptroller -General of İmmigration Service,
D-G National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency,
D-G Civil Defense Corps,
Director- General, NİA ,
Chief Justice of Nigeria,
among others except in a rare instance. Security agencies are being manned by brothers and sisters and kinsmen to those participating in the on-going #Endbadgovernance protests in Nigeria.
For 54 years , the Igbo nation had suffered internal neo-colonialism, exploitation, apartheid, indignity, exclusion and marginalization in silence, hoping and praying that one day, the emerging new nation called Biafra would come in a surprise without firing any gunshot.
The Igbo despite their enormous contributions to make Nigeria better are endangered species and still considered not fit and trusted to rule Nigeria as President, even in the next 100 years now remaining 146 years because they are treated as second class citizens and people defeated in a war.
Since the end of the said civil war, there has been no end to the genocide against the Igbo ethnic group arising from political or religious crisis, especially in Northern Nigeria.
As lives and property of our Igbo kinsmen could not be guaranteed in Nigeria, the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) was floated by Barr. (Chief) Ralph Uwazuruike on 13th September, 1999, to continue in a non-violent manner, the pursuit of a separate independent State , for the people of Eastern Nigeria.
An average Igbo man wakes up every morning from Monday to Sunday and sees himself or herself as a slave in Nigeria. The only Igbo sons who are happy with Nigeria are the politicians because being in government offered them the opportunity to steal money with impunity.
We are Biafras. As Biafrans, we have no glass ceiling over our heads as we have in Nigeria. This is why we want a separate existence. We must be proud of being ourselves as Igbo.
For the very first time, after about 56 years, an illustrious Igbo son, and former Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. Dave Umahi was appointed Federal Minister for Works. The Igbo didn’t celebrate the appointment for many obvious reasons.
Whilst Chief Ralph Uwazuruike-led BIM-MASSOB has chosen a peaceful process towards achieving the sovereignty of Biafra, we shall always continue to ask God to Bless Biafra and try always to hand Biafra’s case to God .
There was this report that Biafra is listed among the five (5) EXİTİNG Nations by the Unrepresented Nations and People’s Organizations, İgbo hoping that through the global body, Biafra will, in no distant period of time join other countries of the world in the UN.
This is why in the event of Nigeria’s possible break up, Ndigbo will not play any role.
