The National Holy Ghost Church of Christ International (NHGCC) recently concluded its 2024 annual convention with a memorable celebration marking its 60th Diamond Jubilee anniversary.

The event, held at the All Souls Cathedral in Ubaha Ndiowu, Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria, brought together members, well-wishers, and friends from around the world to honour the church’s rich history and remarkable growth.
The Chief Host, Archbishop Prof. Cynthia Adaoma Josephson, General Overseer of NHGCC, led the event with grace and gratitude, celebrating the ministry’s six decades of spiritual impact.
Under her leadership, NHGCC has grown to more than 300 branches worldwide. The church, founded on May 26, 1964, by the late Archbishop Dennis Ikechukwu Josephson, continues to thrive, upholding his legacy of faith, resilience, and dedication to God’s work.
The event was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Archbishops, Bishops, and other ministers, such as Archbishop Prof. Emma D. Okafor Agu, Apostle Dr. Eucharia Anunobi, and Archbishop Prof. Dr. Chidi Ehiriodo.
The gathering was filled with joy and praise as attendees reflected on the church’s divine origins and remarkable journey.
In her welcome address, Archbishop Prof. Cynthia expressed her deep gratitude to all those present, acknowledging the support and encouragement from various leaders and members.
She emphasized the church’s theme for the occasion, “The Undefeated God,” and highlighted the ongoing challenges of raising funds and materials for the establishment of a new international headquarters in Anambra State.
Despite these challenges, she encouraged the congregation to continue seeking God’s guidance and remain steadfast in their faith.
In separate interviews, Bishop Dr. Orji Victor CP, ACP Peter Ifeanyi Muo (retired), and Hon. Aloy Agagwo, the church’s chief security officer, praised Archbishop Cynthia’s leadership, expressing admiration for her tireless dedication to carrying forward the vision of NHGCC.
They urged her to continue seeking God’s wisdom in her leadership and wished her continued success in the years ahead.
The event also featured several highlights, including the presentation of a bouquet of flowers and a basket of fruits to Archbishop Cynthia, a special Jubilee award ceremony, cultural performances, and lively entertainment.
