Justice Kekere-Ekun sworn in as new CJN, vows that no room for disobedience to court orders

The new Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun has been sworn-in by President Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu presided over Kekere-Ekun’s swearing-in at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa in Abuja, on Monday.

The new CJN vowed on Monday in Abuja that obedience to court orders would not be negotiable under her watch.

Last week, the Senate confirmed Kekere-Ekun as the new CJN.

This followed her screening on the floor of the upper legislative chamber.

Tinubu had named her the new acting CJN following the retirement of her predecessor, Justice Olukoyede Ariwoola.
