In line with the directives
of the leadership of our great party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), I was today at Nnewichi Ward I to complete my Digital Membership Registration, following the commencement of the party’s fresh nationwide membership registration exercise which was announced by the national leadership of our party a few weeks ago, in line with the provisions of the new Electoral Act.
This exercise, which is currently taking place simultaneously across all electoral wards in Nigeria, represents a crucial step in strengthening the internal democratic structure of the party and building a credible, technology-driven membership database. It also reflects the commitment of the African Democratic Congress to transparency, organization, and grassroots participation as we prepare to provide Nigeria with a credible alternative leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC has continued to position itself as a formidable political platform and a vehicle through which Nigerians can collectively rescue the country from the current economic and leadership challenges. The renewed energy and direction within the party are largely due to the visionary leadership of the National Leadership Council, ably led by former Senate President, David Mark, whose experience and statesmanship continue to provide stability and guidance for the party. Equally inspiring is the consistent advocacy and moral leadership of Peter Obi, whose unwavering call for a New Nigeria continues to resonate with millions of Nigerians who desire a nation built on competence, integrity, and accountability.
I also wish to commend the Anambra State leadership of the party, alongside the dedicated Party Chairmen of Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas, as well as the various Ward Chairmen and their executives. Their commitment, resilience, and grassroots mobilization have continued to strengthen the presence of the African Democratic Congress across our communities and demonstrate why the party remains a credible platform for national transformation.
My sincere appreciation goes to the Chairman of Nnewichi Ward I, his executives, and respected stakeholders of the ward who were present to witness my registration. Their support and encouragement continue to inspire a renewed commitment to deepening political participation and revitalizing grassroots party activities within our communities.
It is important to recall that only a few weeks ago, in further demonstration of our commitment to strengthening the grassroots structures of the party, we facilitated the payment for and furnishing of ten (10) ward offices in Nnewi North Local Government Area alone. This effort forms part of a broader strategy to ensure that the African Democratic Congress has a strong and functional grassroots presence capable of mobilizing the people and advancing the vision of a better Nigeria.
This level of investment and commitment reflects not only a deep belief in the ideals of the party but also a strong determination to ensure that ADC becomes the platform through which genuine leadership and people-centered governance will emerge.
Having successfully completed my registration, I wish to passionately appeal to all eligible Nigerians, particularly those aged 18 and above across Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ekwusigo, Anambra State, and indeed across Nigeria, to take advantage of this ongoing exercise by visiting their respective wards to register as members of the African Democratic Congress.
I make this appeal sincerely and wholeheartedly, please go to your ward, register, and get involved. Your membership is not just symbolic; it gives you the right and the voice to participate in shaping the future direction of the party and to be part of the historic decisions that will define the path of Nigeria in the years ahead.
The task before us is very clear, Nigeria needs committed citizens who are ready to move beyond complaints and become active participants in rebuilding our nation, and the ADC provides that platform.
Together, through dedication, grassroots organization, and purposeful leadership, we shall continue to strengthen our party and prepare it to provide the credible leadership Nigeria deserves.
This is our party, together we shall rescue our country and restore Nigeria to greatness.
