Chief Egwuonwu
As the world commemorates 2024 International Men’s Day, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chieftain, Chief Akai Egwuonwu has advised men in the state not to joke with their mental health.
Chief Egwuonwu who is the CEO of Stine Industries Ltd underscored the need for both adult and young men to embrace healthy living championed by Mrs Nonye Soludo, whom he described as a positive role model in family and community.
He said: “I join the world to celebrate International Men’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrate the values men bring to the world, their families and communities.
“This year’s theme focuses on ‘Men’s Health Champions’, which seeks to emphasize various aspects of men’s health, including emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being.
“Men play a crucial role in our society, and it is important to recognize and appreciate the contributions and the positive impact they have.”
International Men’s Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness about men’s issues and to promote healthy masculinity.
Chief Egwuonwu also said that Governor Charles Soludo’s simplicity is a good model worthy of emulation by men.
Making reference to the Governor’s transparency, he said that men could learn a lot from the Governor to achieve a more beautiful, orderly, and progressive society.
