IKEMBA FRONT applauds Sen. Ubah’s strong presence in APC

…As coalition of President Tinubu’s support groups in South-East appoints IKEMBA FRONT’s National Coordinator its National President

The National Working Committee meeting of IKEMBA FRONT rose with a resolution to double its grassroots activities aimed at further popularizing the All Progressives Congress (APC) among the people of Anambra state.

The group said that Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah’s strong presence in the party had helped in boosting the acceptance of the party in the state but maintained that more still needed to be done by the group to further engrave APC in the hearts of the people of Anambra state.

To this end, the 11 Zonal and 21 Local Government coordinators as well as the 326 ward coordinators of IKEMBA FRONT were charged with the mandate of making their presence translate to the presence of APC in the state.

The meeting commended Senator Ubah whom it described as the face of APC in Anambra state, for his many bold steps using his position as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and of the Senate Committee he chairs in rallying round the party and soaring up the party’s confidence level in the state ahead of the 2025 Anambra state governorship election.

Meanwhile, a coalition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support groups in the South-East, under the umbrella of South East Renewed Hope Ambassadors for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has appointed the National Coordinator of IKEMBA FRONT, Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu, as its National President.

A delegation of the leadership of the groups from the five states of the zone of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states were received by the leadership of IKEMBA FRONT and were impressed by what they saw of IKEMBA FRONT. They unanimously appointed Sir Awogu the President of the coalition to steer the affairs of the pressure group into making the zone an APC foothold.

The delegation which was led by Hon. Joseph Odumuko of Abia state, an aide to the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, said that the coalition desired to see IKEMBA FRONT bring together all the groups that professed support for APC and Mr President in the South-East and said that President Tinubu’s insistence on the autonomy of local governments is to liberate the people of Nigeria.

There were two representatives from each of the five states in the South-East in the visit.

In his response, Sir Awogu, said that APC was already the dominant party in the region having won in two states of Imo and Ebonyi with the remaining three states shared among three different political parties. He assured that by 2025 that Anambra state would have joined the league of APC states in the zone.

While thanking the delegation for observing the impact of IKEMBA FRONT in the politics of Anambra state from their respective states, Sir Awogu revealed that one could hardly see a gathering of people in the open streets of Anambra state under the name and banner of APC until IKEMBA FRONT came, adding that the IKEMBA FRONT remained the visible presence of APC in Anambra state as of today.

“The ruling party in the state was unchallenged and very comfortable and gloated with an aura of unbruised ego until IKEMBA FRONT came into the picture. The goal of IKEMBA FRONT is to see the APC become the ruling party in Anambra state so as to open up national opportunities and support in the development of the state, “he further added.

He declared that APC under President Tinubu in the last one year grappled with an implosion ignited by the ineffectiveness of previous administrations which he noted was getting fixed in today’s Nigeria. He said that with the depth of the foundation being laid by Mr President that the country would return to economic stability and assured prosperity of citizens.
