L-R: Chief Dr George Moghalu and Dr Nonso
As Anambra State 2025 governorship election draws nearer, the Nnewi North Chairmanship candidate for the September 28 local government election under the Labour Party, Dr Chidiebere Nonso has said that Chief Dr George Moghalus’s passion to serve the people of the State as Governor remains fixed and should be granted.
Dr Nonso said this during a one-day prayer summit and workshop to kick-start his campaign for the Nnewi North local government election coming up next week.
He said that he strongly believed Chief Dr Moghalu as a Governor of Anambra State would make a difference and an enduring as well as significant impact in the development, growth and prosperity of the State.
He gave the impression that Chief Dr Moghalu is not only preparing to contest the 2025 governorship election but is sure of victory by the grace of God.
“At this juncture, the Anambra United Coalition for Good Governance (AUCGG) urges Ndi Anambra and all people of goodwill to give their support to Chief Dr George Moghalu as a grassroots person who has an outstanding pedigree. He is prepared for service to mankind which he has demonstrated in so many ways and as a philanthropist with an impeccable background, “he noted.
Dr Nonso, the leader of the AUCGG said Chief Moghalu as an elder statesman deserved to be given the opportunity to handle the mantle of Governorship of Anambra State as he vies under the platform of Labour Party.
One of the highlights of the event at Anaedo Hall on September 18 was nominating Chief Dr Moghalu to receive a UN Eminent Ambassador’s recognition by the Advanced Peace and Reconciliation Center of Nigeria (APRCN), as recommended by the Anambra State Envoy of the organization in the person of Dr Nonso.
Dr Nonso said this nomination came as a result of Chief Moghalu’s grassroots openness, accessibility and passion for the poor masses.
“Labour Party, is a party to beat in Anambra State and God Almighty is with us; no going back, only forward ever, ” Dr Nonso concluded.
