The Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of the Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Valerian Maduka Okeke, has emphasized the importance of faith and prayer in navigating life’s challenges.

In his Easter message titled “Faith and Prayers, We Move,” the cleric described faith as a response to God’s revelation, noting that it provides spiritual direction and hope, especially in difficult times.

Citing biblical references, including Hebrews 11:1, he explained that faith gives assurance in uncertain situations and strengthens believers to persevere despite societal challenges such as insecurity, unemployment, and lack of trust in institutions.

The Archbishop stressed that faith must be supported by prayer and expressed through good works. He referenced the teachings of Jesus Christ to illustrate how faith brings healing, transformation, and divine intervention.

He also reiterated the teaching of Paul the Apostle on walking by faith, alongside James the Just’s position that faith without good works is incomplete.

Archbishop Okeke urged Nigerians to remain steadfast, uphold integrity, and continue to trust in God through faith, prayer, and righteous living.
