Anambra State Police Command has blamed the lingering illegal sit-at-home in the State on what ìt termed conspiracy of compliance and little fear by residents of the state.

Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga in a statement said the twin factors informed part of the reasons the Command decided to re-strategize by visiting the 21 Local Government Areas in the State to get feelers of residents.

He however noted reasonable improvement by residents in resisting such illegal orders.

He said: “If you have been following what the Police and other security agencies are doing, you will see that we are not where we used to be. There is a lot of improvement by Ndi Anambra in resisting such illegal Orders.

“But we are not done yet because we are still experiencing what I call the conspiracy of compliance to such illegal order and little fear by residents.

“That is one of the parts that inform our decision to re-strategize by visiting the 21 LGs in the State to hear from everyone and anyone.”
