Be proud of your language, culture-Ikenga Abacha urges Igbo

Renowned businessman and title holder, Chief Ugochukwu Odekwa (aka Ikenga Abacha) has called on all Igbo to embrace their cultural heritage. 

He made this call during the 2024 new yam festival at the palace of HRM Igwe Godwin Nwabunwanne Odiegwu in Abacha, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State.

Ikenga Abacha explained the significance of yam in Igbo culture, emphasizing its importance, saying that it is worth celebrating.

 He encouraged the people of Abacha and Igbo in general to preserve their culture, language, and traditions to enhance their heritage and promote progress.

He expressed concern over the abandonment of Igbo dialect for foreign languages, describing it as an abuse to Igbo culture. 

Ikenga Abacha urged the Igbo people to commit to showcasing their culture and traditions to enrich their heritage.

During the event, he also appreciated the efforts of their king and Abacha indigenes worldwide. 

He advised the youth to embrace God, work hard, and avoid seeking shortcuts to success, emphasizing that with God, all things are possible.
