The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State has pledged its loyalty to Chief Edozie Njoku as its national leader.

Recall that Njoku was duly recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the authentic National Chairman of the APGA during the meeting of INEC and leaders of political parties held late last month at INEC headquarters in Abuja.

Recall also that the National Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu had earlier last month recognized Njoku as the authentic National Chairman of APGA in obedience to court order.

Speaking through his counsel, Ahmed Mohammed, the INEC boss explained that the decision was also to purge himself of the committal order placed on him by the court.

The leaders, stakeholders and loyalists of the party, Ogbaru chapter also pledged their unalloyed support to the Acting State Chairman of the party in Anambra, Chief Ikechukwu Ejesieme (Onye Uno).

In a statement issued after a well attended meeting at the party’s Local Government headquarters in Atani, they declared their heartfelt felicitation with Njoku’s legal victories at various levels in court and expressed unfettered love, support and solidarity with his National Working Committee (NEC).

According to the statement signed by three officials which include Ogbaru Local Government Chairman of the party, Hon Nnamdi Nwamirunoni (Ochiagha Atani) along with the Local Government Secretary of the party, Mr Martin Ekechi and former House of Reps candidate of the party, Zeribe Ezeanuna as the leader of the party in Ogbaru, APGA in Ogbaru queued into the no victor, no vanquished mantra of Njoku’s leadership.

They called on their colleagues on the other side to join hands with Ochiagha in his leadership to rebuild the party in Ogbaru

“We are in joyous mood and not interested in winner takes all syndrome as done in some places. We are totally committed to the leadership of our great party with a vote of confidence on the National Chairman, Chief Edozie Njoku and our acting State Chairman, Chief Ejesieme.

“So said, we hereby extend olive branch to our colleagues over there who felt they have lost out, to come along with us and join hands for us to rebuild APGA in Ogbaru Local Government together, “the members said.
