The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has strongly criticized Senator Uche Ekwunife, the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following her recent remarks against Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo.
In a statement, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors, Chinedu Obigwe, said Senator Ekwunife lacks the moral ground to speak against Governor Soludo, whom he described as a leader with proven integrity and vision for Anambra State.
Obigwe alleged that Ekwunife contributed to the political and governance challenges witnessed in the state during the administration of former Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju between 1999 and 2003, particularly in relation to the prolonged strike by teachers at the time.
He further claimed that her political record does not place her in a position to criticize the achievements of Governor Soludo, noting that the current administration is focused on rebuilding the state and delivering good governance to the people.
According to him, Governor Soludo has demonstrated competence and leadership, which has earned him the support and admiration of Ndi Anambra. He expressed confidence that the people of the state would reward Soludo’s performance with massive votes in the November 8 governorship election.
“Governor Soludo is on a divine mission to reposition Anambra and restore the state’s pride,” Obigwe said. “The people of Anambra are witnessing visible transformation under his administration, and we are confident they will stand by him at the polls.”
