APC Organizing Secretary, S’East, Ikedife (Jnr) implores Ifeanyi Ubah to find way to rise, as tears drop his cheeks

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Organizing Secretary, South East zone, Mr Dozie Ikedife (Jnr) has lamented the passing away of Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, his kinsman and political ally who died in London on July 27,2024.

In an emotion-laden tribute, Ikedife said his heart was shattered when he received the news of Ubah’s death and could not believe his ears that Ubah who had various pet names including Ebubechukwu Uzo Nnewi was dead.

“It is with a shattered heart that I mourn my brother and friend, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. The reality that Ebubechukwu Uzo Nnewi is gone is a blow that reverberates through our souls.

“He had dreams, expansive, bold dreams for our state and our nation. A few of us were privileged to see the depth of his vision; many more embraced his plans, and thousands awaited his leadership with bated breath.

“We formed a family of trusted political allies and advisors, taking his vision across every corner of our land. From sunrise to the early hours of the next day, we labored tirelessly, yet he never showed signs of weariness.

“Men and women of integrity, who wished for Anambra’s resurgence, flocked to his cause, determined to see him succeed.

“Our journeys took us overseas and oceans, where his reception was nothing short of triumphant. Our eyes were red from countless sleepless nights; I often found myself exhausted, lagging behind, but his boundless passion for our people was my source of strength.

“Ifeanyi was at his happiest among his people. His love for Nnewi was profound, yet his devotion to Anambra was even greater. He spoke to hundreds, instilling hope and confidence that Anambra would rise again. He envisioned a state that all Igbo would hold in pride—a beacon within a nation.

“Odejinji became a household name. He was on everyone’s lips, and his opponents trembled at his extraordinary ability to organize, mobilize, and inspire.

“Ifeanyi was fearless. He was audacious. He had an uncanny ability to seize the moment and hold his ground. We believed in him with all our hearts, yet now we are left devastated by his untimely departure.

“Ifeanyi Ubah, why did you leave us? Why now, when your battles were not yet over? Why now, when victory was within your grasp?

“I implore you, find a way to rise. Rise for your beloved wife. Rise for your cherished children. Rise for Nnewi. Rise for Anambra. Rise for your political family. Ifeanyi, RISE and complete your journey. Do not abandon us in our time of need.

Ebubechukwu Uzo, rise and wipe away our tears, “Ikedife, Ikenga Nnewi, cried out with tears dropping his cheeks.
