Anambra State Government has restated its commitment to support any programme designed to promote quality education in the State.
Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh said this while hosting principal officers of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Awka Study Center in her office, at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat complex, Awka.
She said Governor Charles Soludo has demonstrated his favourable disposition to education by employing qualified teachers to end the era of schools without teachers.
She expressed optimism that the partnership between the Ministry and NOUN would futher boost human capital development for transformation of the State to a livable and prosperous homeland.
“With the availability of teachers, the stage is now set for worthy partnership between the Ministry of Education and National Open University of Nigeria for human capital development needed for the transformation of Anambra State to a livable and prosperous society,” she added.
