Anamabra town union, youth wing, lawmaker laud Soludo on 2026 budget, call for judicious implementation

President General of Anambra State Town Union Council, youth wing, Comrade Ken Okoli has said that the 2026 budget of N757.9 billion presented to the Anambra State Assembly by His Excellency, Prof Charles Soludo is a good way to go.

According to Comrade Okoli, the 2026 Appropriation Bill termed “Changing Gear 3.0 Solution Continues” is going to bring a positive change to Ndi Anambra and mostly the rural areas.

“Our Governor is a good man, he is doing well, the 2026 budget is a good way to go. It’s going to bring more positive changes and benefits to Ndi Anambra, mostly those in rural communities. 

“He promised to build 30 public schools in rural areas across the State. 

“Don’t you see that it will create more jobs and give our children in those areas an opportunity to compete with their counterparts in urban areas in academic pursuit, “he added.

He advised the agencies, parastatals and ministries that will implement the budget not to miss the priorities but should cue with the vision of the Governor in making Anambra State great.

Also reacting, the member representing Ihiala 1 Constituency and Chief Whip, Anambra State 8th Assembly, Hon Barr Jude C. Ngobili said the 2026 budget presented to the State House of Assembly is a good one. 

According to him, the “Changing Gear of 3.0” as initiated by the Governor shows he wants to do more for Ndi Anambra. 

“He wants to give more democracy dividends to the State. Our Governor is doing well, his ‘Changing Gear 3.0’ solution continues as stated in his budget shows that Mr Governor is even more prepared to give more democracy dividends to the people of Anambra State, that is why we are behind him, “he said.

He further said that Ihiala people needed infrastructure development now that normalcy has returned to the local government area after the Governor had dealt with security challenges there.

He said the people of Ihiala need potable water, good roads and most importantly electricity.
