For peace to reign in this country, Nigerians have made 12-point demands that President BolaTinubu must address urgently.
They want an end to the subsidy scam and reversal of fuel prices to below N200 per litre; bring tertiary education fees back to their previous rates by reinstating subsidies; restoration of electricity tariffs to affordable levels for the public; return import duties to their previous rates.
Others are to publicly disclose and reduce the salaries and allowances of all senators, House of Representatives members, and the Speaker; establishment of an emergency fund to support Small and Medium Scale enterprises (SMEs); make INEC independent of the executive branch with transparent processes for appointing its chairman and enactment of a law mandating INEC to electronically transmit live electoral results.
Nigerians also demand reopening of national borders; EFCC reform; declaration of a state of emergency on inflation and judiciary reform.
